Job Summary
The Hayloft is a Lovely Family run business, with a great team who all work together to look after all our customers . We are predominantly a coffee shop but hold evening Parties, Weddings, Christenings and baby showers as well.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Events / Coffee Shop Supervisor to oversee our weddings and evening functions as well as help with daily operations within our Coffee Shop. Working alongside the Coffee Shop and Events Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Position is a hands on role and the successful candidate will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while managing the smooth running of the Events and Coffee Shop.
Duties
- Experience in Running Weddings, Evening Parties and events is an advantage as this is a large part of the role
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Coffee Shop and Events Team, including baristas, bar staff, and servers.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and hospitality..
- Proven supervising experience within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Experience in bar service, cashing and locking up
Hours in the week are mostly 9-4.30/5.00pm or 10 -4.30/5.00pm
Weekends are mostly Evening 4pm - 1.00am but you would need to be flexble depending on the business
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
