We wish to appoint a Senior Fellow in Foot and Ankle Surgery to commence in August 2027. This post is based in the Brunel Building at Southmead Hospital which opened in May 2014. The post holder will be required to work flexibly within the department.
The post holder will be involved in a busy foot and ankle service within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at North Bristol NHS Trust. The post holder will be responsible to Mr Harries, Mr Hepple, Mr M Dahill & Mr Robinson, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. They will be expected to have some previous experience in foot and ankle surgery. They will be expected to participate in the ongoing research and audit programmes of the department. They should be at the stage of a senior trainee – post exam – or immediate post CSST.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day medical and surgical care of orthopaedic day case and inpatients and will have opportunity to assist in theatres for both routine and specialist orthopaedic cases. Successful candidates will be expected to get involved in and contribute towards the department audit programme and on-going research programmes.
