Job Title: HGV Workshop Manager
Location: Chelmsford Area - Essex
Salary: Up to £64,000 + Bonus
Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours per week)

We are seeking a highly capable HGV Workshop Manager to oversee multiple service operations, ensuring exceptional performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency across the region.
HGV Workshop Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a HGV workshops and service teams, ensuring high standards of productivity and workmanship
- Lead, manage, and develop workshop, field service, and administrative teams
- Ensure all operations comply with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Drive performance through KPI management, continuous improvement, and cost control
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a senior point of contact
- Manage budgets, labour utilisation, and resource planning to meet financial targets
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Support business growth through strong operational leadership and commercial awareness
HGV Workshop Manager – Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar role within the HGV / commercial vehicle / automotive sector
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-site or multi-disciplinary teams
- Solid understanding of HGV maintenance, workshop operations, and aftersales service
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within a workshop environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required
