We have an exciting and unique position for a talented and motivated Senior Project Nurse to join our team, leading a portfolio of high impact programmes that directly support our Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) workforce and wider organisational priorities. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence workforce supply, retention, education, and experience across the organisation, working in close collaboration with Clinical Service Units (CSUs), system partners, and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse and dynamic portfolio, ensuring delivery of safe, high quality, and inclusive programmes that support individuals entering and developing within care roles.
You will lead a dedicated team to recruit, induct, and support individuals who are new to care, ensuring a structured, compassionate, and effective transition into clinical teams. You will be required work clinically, supporting the Emergency Department (ED) and a range of ward areas and departments, particularly during periods of heightened demand such as winter pressures. This clinical engagement enables you to develop a comprehensive understanding of frontline services, ensuring that learning and development programmes are responsive, relevant, and grounded in current practice.
Your clinical expertise will be integral to the Workforce Development team, where you will lead on a defined portfolio, shaping and delivering education and training that supports workforce capability and patient care outcomes.
This is a full time permanent position 37.5 hours and you will be based at Josephs Well Leeds and expected to work cross site
