Job Title: Commercial / Senior Commercial Solicitor
Location: Bishop Auckland, County Durham
Salary: £35,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time, 36 days holiday including bank holidays and Christmas closure
About the Role
A well-established County Durham legal firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Solicitor or Senior Commercial Solicitor to join their expanding team in Bishop Auckland. The successful candidate will work across a variety of commercial matters, serving business clients throughout County Durham and beyond.
In this role, you will:
- Advise clients on commercial and corporate matters, including contracts, commercial disputes, and regulatory compliance
- Manage your own caseload independently
- Mentor junior team members (for senior roles)
- Contribute to business development initiatives and help grow the commercial department
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have proven experience in commercial law
- Are confident managing a full caseload from instruction to conclusion
- Demonstrate strong client-facing and interpersonal skills
- Are motivated, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Can mentor junior staff (senior roles) and support the department’s development
