As a valued member of our Specialist Deep Cleaning Team , you will play a vital role in maintaining safe, hygienic, and welcoming environments across the Trust. This full‑time, permanent position is ideal for individuals who take pride in high standards, enjoy working collaboratively, and want to contribute directly to patient safety and wellbeing.
You will work as part of a responsive, supportive team delivering comprehensive deep cleaning services across a range of clinical and non‑clinical areas. The role requires excellent communication skills, as you will regularly liaise with the helpdesk team to coordinate cleaning requests and with clinical teams to ensure cleaning tasks are prioritised effectively.
This role operates on a 10‑week rolling rota , which includes weekends and bank holidays, offering structure and predictability while supporting the needs of the Trust.

Duties include although are not limited too:
Using specialist decontamination equipment — operating HPV (Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour) and UVC systems to deliver high‑level disinfection
Washing and drying high‑contact surfaces — including walls, ceilings, fixtures and fittings
Maintaining hard floor surfaces — buffing, spray cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, resealing and polishing using appropriate machinery
Deep cleaning soft floor coverings to ensure safe and hygienic environments
Initial cleans after building or engineering works to prepare areas for clinical use
Disinfecting areas after infectious patient discharge (e.g., MRSA, Norovirus, COVID‑19)
Assisting with bodily fluid clean‑ups when required, following strict infection control procedures
Deep cleaning ward‑level kitchen areas — including walls, ceilings, cooker hoods, vents and floors
Cleaning the Hydrotherapy Pool after draining, as required
Cleaning Theatres after maintenance to ensure they are safe and ready for clinical activity
Removing dust, dirt and debris from floors, walls, ceilings, glass, fixtures, fittings and sanitary areas using colour‑coded methods
Emptying and cleaning waste bins and replacing liners in line with the Trust’s Waste Policy
Replenishing essential supplies such as toilet rolls, soap and paper towels
Cleaning blinds, internal glass and curtains including checking and changing curtains when require
