Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food production processes
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling waste
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to meet customer preferences
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation
- Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as required
