We are looking for individuals who hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have a genuine passion for working with young people.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assist in preparing and adapting classroom resources
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students within the classroom, helping to ensure all pupils can access learning and reach their full potential.
A significant part of your role will involve working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), where you will provide tailored support to meet individual learning requirements.
This may include adapting lesson materials, breaking down tasks, and using a variety of strategies to support different learning styles and abilities.
You will also support students’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour, helping to build confidence, independence, and resilience.
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals, you will contribute to personalised support plans and help create a positive learning environment.
Your ability to build strong relationships and provide consistent encouragement will be essential in helping students overcome barriers and succeed.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree (essential)
- Experience or knowledge in Childcare, Education, Health & Social Care or similar
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to full-time work
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in education
- Willingness to support children of all abilities, including those with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach
