Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Hospitality to oversee the daily operations of our prestigious restaurant /bar/ boutique. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role involves managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality across all departments. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience and driving the overall success of the establishment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all departments of the restaurant/ bar including front of house, managing the bar, staff, bookings, orders, keeping track stock and maintenance.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
- Oversee customer/guest relations to ensure exceptional service standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Coordinate with human resources to handle staffing needs, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws.
- Monitor financial performance, optimise revenue streams, and control costs effectively.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and high morale among staff members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as industry standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local community partners to enhance The Bull and Lobster's reputation.
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in restaurant /bar management roles.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate communication with international guests.
- Solid understanding of human resources practices including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
- Experience in restaurant management with a comprehensive knowledge of hospitality standards.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing to liaise with staff, guests, and stakeholders. Pay: £25,527.55-£35,000.00 per year
