We're looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Part-Time Receptionist to be the welcoming face of Showcase the Street.
About the Role
As our Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, customers and hirers, providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the building during your shift, ensuring the centre is welcoming, safe and running smoothly.
Your duties will include:
- Welcoming visitors and handling enquiries
- Answering telephone calls
- Preparing a range of hot beverages for customers
- Managing bookings and taking payments
- Opening and closing the building
- Carrying out regular building checks to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Supporting customers and hirers throughout their visit
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Confident communicating with members of the public
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for the building during their shift
- Flexible and willing to provide holiday and sickness cover when required
Hours of Work
Typical shifts are:
- Tuesdays: 3:00pm - 10:00pm
- Sundays: 5 - 8pm
Please note these hours may vary slightly depending on bookings.
The successful candidate will also be expected to provide additional cover for annual leave and sickness when required.
