Night Shift Van Loader – Active Physical Role
Location: Skelmersdale
Pay: £13.98 per hour during training, rising to approx. £15.38 per hour after successful probation
Shift: Night Shift – 10:00pm to 6:00am
About the Role
Integral Surface Designs is looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Shift Van Loader to join our busy dispatch team in Skelmersdale.
This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys being on the move, working independently, and keeping busy throughout their shift. This is not a light warehouse or picking role — applicants must be comfortable with regular manual handling in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for loading 8–10 delivery vans per night with made-to-order furniture components, ensuring products are loaded safely, accurately, and in the correct route order for next-day deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually loading delivery vans in an organised and efficient manner
- Scanning products onto vehicles using barcode equipment
- Checking loading accuracy against dispatch paperwork
- Securing loads correctly to prevent damage in transit
- Working to nightly dispatch deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy loading area
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record
- Enjoy physically demanding, active work
- Be comfortable lifting and moving products throughout the shift
- Work at pace while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Be confident using basic warehouse scanning equipment
- Hold a full UK driving licence
