An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, well-rounded and enthusiastic individual to join us and work in the Operations team. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, a confident communicator and have an overall positive approach to work. You will be required to provide support and assistance to the Production Manager and the wider team.
Tele-Products Ltd started in York in 1988. Our business is the design, manufacture, marketing and sale of test, monitoring, measurement & telecoms equipment and related goods and services.
Tele-Products Ltd trades as First Stop Safety and Crucible Technologies.
Tele-Products is in an exciting phase moving to a new unit in Osbaldwick in YO10 3JB in the first quarter of next year, for the rest of 2026 the job will be based in Poppleton, York but moving with the office move.
First Stop Safety
First Stop Safety supplies everything you need for Portable Appliance Testing. We help companies save money by testing in-house and charities generate income by re-selling used electrical items.
Crucible Technologies
Crucible Technologies supplies the Comet USB, Comet Serial and Comet Blu Caller ID units. These are used in a variety of applications including EPOS terminals in takeaway food outlets, customer verification for taxi companies and incoming call logging in service providers.
Job Description:
· Ensure all orders are booked in correctly and tally with purchase orders
· Carry out product builds in accordance with product build instructions
· Carry out product functionality testing using Windows PC and test equipment
· Ensure all production orders are shipped back to customer within agreed guidelines
· To contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the production department
· Flexible approach towards other production related tasks and expanding training on future production products
· Monitor your work and processes and feel free to suggest changes where improvements can be made
· Stock control for goods in and out at every stage of product build
· Maintaining high-quality production builds
· To assist in ensuring that all shipping is carried out within company guidelines.
· To support the operations of Tele-Products with regards to testing and stocking of Crucible Technologies and First Stop Safety product ranges
What you will bring to the role –
· Good general IT skills – proficiency with MS Office
· Friendly and flexible approach to all tasks
