Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires a valid driver’s licence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle deliveries efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver pharmacy orders to customers across designated routes
- Ensure accurate and secure handling of pharmaceutical products during transit
- Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and pharmacy staff regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Keep accurate records of deliveries made, mileage, and fuel consumption
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably within pharmacy or healthcare sectors
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver qualification is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and handle physical aspects of the role
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules and documentation
