We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide health and safety training to employees, ensuring they are aware of and understand safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improving health and safety practices and implement best practices across the organization.
- Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role in the industrial or construction sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
- Relevant qualifications in health and safety, such as NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
