The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Leighton Buzzard. This is a full time ongoing temporary position working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The pay rate is £14.24 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
This is a mobile role working alongside a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, maintaining a variety of commercial sites including retail parks, business parks, schools, colleges, parks, and public open spaces.
You will form part of a two-person team carrying out planned grounds maintenance works and ensuring sites are maintained to a high standard throughout the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience looking for ongoing work with a well-established grounds maintenance company.
A full UK driving licence is preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, and general grounds maintenance

Maintain commercial and public sector sites to a high standard

Use hand-held grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively

Support the Team Leader with daily site tasks

Carry out litter picking and general site tidying

Assist with planting and seasonal maintenance works when required

Complete daily tasks efficiently and safely

Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times
Requirements

Previous grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred

Full UK driving licence preferred

Experience using grounds maintenance equipment advantageous

Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
