We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our client's dynamic team for an establised national business. You will be responsible for estimating jobs for all aspects of estimating within a skillset and have knowledge of estimating software and being able to produce tenders to a very high standard.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates
- Work alongside electrical estimating manager
- Reading and understanding engineering specifications
- Being able to measure accurately by taking off measure’s quantities from drawings
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials
- Maintain a comprehensive database to ensure bids and documentation are up to date and easily accessible.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on estimates.
- Review and assess cost estimates.
- Looking after teams members and overseeing projects
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in working within the building services sector or M&E and Data Centre projects.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator.
- Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mind-set.
- Professional attitude
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft
- Can demonstrate working on estimating software
