About us
Scotts Farm is a large camping site located in the seaside village of West Wittering, we have around 650 pitches and cater for families camping in tents, caravans and camper vans. We have a full-time team who work all season and are now looking for seasonal employees for the summer holidays.
The role
We are looking for a general campsite assistant to help with all aspects of day to day operations during the summer season and bank holiday weekends, Some duties include:
- Checking customers in when they arrive and dealing with enquiries and issues they may have during their stay
- Keeping the site clean and tidy, bringing any maintenance issues to the attention to the full-time team
- Some occasional cleaning of the toilet and shower blocks, although we do have cleaners who handle it for the most part we do have to spot clean when necessary
- Checking tickets around the site, ensuring customers have paid and are pitched correctly
This role is temporary, with work available throughout July and August for the school holidays.
The ideal candidate
- Reliable, with good timekeeping skills
- Confident and friendly when dealing with customers, customer service experience is an advantage but not necessary
- Confident learning to use our IT system to check customers in and manage their bookings
- Not afraid to get stuck in, as some tasks will require things like litter picking and the occasional toilet block cleaning
- Flexible and able to work all weekends and bank holidays when required due to the nature of the business, some evening work will also be required although we will try to be as flexible as possible when creating the rotas
- Available to work throughout the school summer holidays (July and August)
This role would suit students who are looking to work over the holidays from uni studies etc, no previous experience is necessary and all training will be provided. This role is focused around customer service, so candidates should be have good communication skills and a friendly disposition. The hours will vary, but will be around 14-25 hours per week with the possibility of more if desired.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
