A Care Home Clinical Lead is a senior registered nurse who provides clinical leadership, ensures high-quality resident care, supports the nursing team, and helps the Home Manager meet regulatory standards.
Typical Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the nursing and care team.
- Ensure residents receive safe, person-centred, high-quality care.
- Assess residents' health needs and develop care plans.
- Administer and oversee medication management.
- Monitor clinical standards, infection control, and safeguarding.
- Conduct clinical audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (such as the Care Quality Commission in England).
- Support recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff.
- Investigate incidents and implement quality improvement plans.
- Work closely with GPs, hospitals, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist the Home Manager with day-to-day clinical operations.
Pay: £3,750.00-£4,580.00 per month
