Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional self employed Removals Driver to join our team, on a casual basis to boost our team over the busy summer period. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and belongings safely and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers flexible shift patterns and an opportunity to work within a dynamic removals company, supporting clients during their moving process.
This role would suit a self employed individual looking to pick up some extra work, or someone looking to move into a role that enables them more control over when they are able to take days off. For the right candidate, there is a good chance this role could develop into a fixed one.
Due to our insurance, applicants must be over 25 years old to drive our vans.
Duties
- Safely operate company Luton vans, adhering to all road safety regulations
- Load and unload furniture and household items with care, ensuring items are secure during transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Work in a team of fast paced movers, completing tasks such as lifting, packing, and building furniture
Skills
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within removals or logistics is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, large vans
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Good organisational skills to plan routes and manage schedules effectively
- Experience working in warehouses or handling physical goods is advantageous

Pay: £127.50-£150.00 per day
