Bank Cook 21 hours a week required to cover holidays and sickness.
Shifts - 7AM-2PM Preparing breakfasts and lunches.
Double Pay for all bank holidays.
DBS will be carried out and full training carried out as part of our induction process.
Cooks are a valuable part of our team, preparing nutritional foods, & meeting all dietary requirements for our residents in our care home.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures of the systems relevant to the provision of food are kept up to date with the practices in the home working in accordance with the better business food safety enviromental health standards.
When you join us as a Bank Cook you are making a difference by analysing residents’ needs and planning meals to ensure that the nutritional needs of all the residents are met.
Responsibilities include:
- To ensure that food is served in an appropriate and safe manner
- To take responsibility for the health and safety with regards to the equipment and environment of the kitchen and stock areas
- To take control of the ordering of food and maintaining sufficient stock levels
- To ensure that appropriate records are kept to evidence that nutritional needs are being met
- To maintain kitchen policies and procedures that are in line with current best practices, and highly efficient
- Promoting our resident’s choice, dignity and independence and all times
