This role matters: As your local Hospice, St John’s has been at the heart of the North Lancashire and South Lakes communities since the mid-1980s, providing specialist palliative care to patients and those important to them during some of life’s most challenging times.
As part of our commitment to the South Lakes area, we have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Community Fundraiser to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting our generous South Lakes community with their fundraising events, whilst raising vital income that directly supports the care we provide. We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven and committed to making a difference.
Our Fundraising team supports a wide range of community events, from sky dives to coffee mornings, golf days to jumble sales and much more! As the Hospice for North Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire, you will help raise awareness of our work across this area, supporting loyal fundraisers with their own events, and developing new fundraising opportunities. This role would suit someone who loves variety and adventure, has strong organisational skills and has a talent for building positive relationships.
St John’s Hospice was built by the people for the people, and every day, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to help us be there for local people and their families when they need us most. By joining our team, you will become part of this proud history while helping to shape its future.
We are committed to supporting our staff and offer a range of benefits designed to promote wellbeing, work-life balance and professional development.
You will be based at our Fundraising office within our Kendal Furniture Shop and will travel to events across the area we serve. You will also attend training, meetings and other activities at the main Hospice when required. It is essential that you hold a full UK manual driving licence with business insurance.
