Join Amplitude as an Event Labourer / Rigger
Amplitude Event Solutions is a growing event production and technical delivery company, supporting a wide range of corporate, public sector and government events across the UK. Our work includes in-person, virtual and hybrid events, with projects ranging from smaller meeting setups through to large conferences, award ceremonies and multi-room productions.
This is not a party or festival-based role. Our core work is professional corporate event delivery, where standards, reliability and attention to detail really matter.
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Event Labourer / Rigger to join the team and play an important part in getting our events built, run and packed down.
Why work for us?
At Amplitude, you will get exposure to a broad range of event work and real responsibility from day one. This role would suit someone who enjoys physical, varied work and is happy turning their hand to whatever the day needs, whether that is loading a van, building a marquee or helping the AV team get a room ready.
You will be joining a friendly and experienced team, working on professional events for major clients across the UK. No two weeks are quite the same, and there is plenty of opportunity to grow within the role.
The role
This is a physical, hands-on position covering the setup, maintenance and teardown of event sites, stages, temporary structures and AV equipment.
You will mainly be assisting on AV jobs, but the role also covers marquees, general building maintenance and acting as an all-round helping hand across the team. You will be moving heavy equipment, assembling structures, driving vans and keeping sites tidy and safe.
The role will include:
- Physical setup and teardown of event sites, stages and temporary structures
- Assisting the AV team with loading, moving and positioning equipment
- Assembling and dismantling marquees
- Moving heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Driving vans to and from sites
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- General building maintenance and warehouse upkeep
- Clearing and cleaning down sites after events
- Supporting the wider technical and event team as needed
What a typical day could look like
A typical day might start at the warehouse, loading kit onto a vehicle against a job sheet, then travelling to site to help build the event. That could mean putting up a marquee, helping rig a stage, carrying in and positioning AV equipment, and getting the space ready for the day ahead.
Once the event is done, you would help pack everything down, load up and return the kit in good order. On other days you may be based at the warehouse on maintenance, kit prep and general upkeep.
