This role is ideal for an experienced Nursery Practitioner who can provide high-quality support within the nursery setting, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can thrive. The school is looking for someone with a relevant Early Years qualification and previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team, you will support the learning, development, and wellbeing of nursery-aged children, helping them to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the learning and development of children within the nursery setting.
Delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
Promoting children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development.
Supporting children through play-based learning opportunities.
Observing and recording children's progress and achievements.
Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Supporting children with personal care where required.
Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.
To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:
A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 minimum).
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
