We are recruiting a small number of Founding Area Directors across the UK.
This is a self-employed leadership opportunity that allows you to build a territory, support Commercial Partners and create a recurring income stream linked to membership growth and business development.
Many of our Area Directors continue with their existing business interests, consultancy activities, client portfolios or professional careers whilst developing their territory. In fact, we actively welcome individuals who already operate within the SME community and have established business relationships.
Whether you are a Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Recruitment Consultant, Recruitment Manager, Commercial Manager, Partnership Manager, Account Director, Business Consultant, Agency Owner, Accountant or business owner, your existing experience and network may be exactly what we are looking for.

The Opportunity
Whilst there is a strong commercial element, this is not a traditional sales role.
As an Area Director, you will help introduce the Association to businesses throughout your territory whilst building relationships with key decision makers and professional partners.
Your focus will include:
- Building relationships with SME business owners, directors and decision makers
- Developing partnerships with accountants, consultants, recruiters and professional advisers
- Supporting membership growth within your territory
- Attending networking events and business functions
- Creating strategic partnership opportunities
- Helping develop the Association throughout your area
- Supporting and mentoring Commercial Partners within your territory
- Building a sustainable recurring income stream through membership growth and business development
This is a relationship-led leadership opportunity rather than a traditional target-driven sales role.

Many of our strongest Area Directors have existing business interests, consultancy practices, client portfolios or commercial activities.
We recognise that successful people are often already active within their local business communities.

Are you a Business Consultant, Growth Consultant, Management Consultant, Business Adviser, SME Consultant, Fractional Director, Business Coach, Strategic Consultant or trusted adviser to SME business owners? If you already help businesses improve performance, increase sales, develop strategy, solve operational challenges or identify growth opportunities, this opportunity may fit naturally alongside your existing consultancy activities.
Experience within CSR, ESG or responsible business is not essential.
We are looking for commercially minded people who know how to build trust, open doors, create opportunities and develop long-term business relationships.
Income Potential
Unlike many opportunities that rely on one-off transactions, the Association operates a recurring membership model.
As membership and partnership activity grows within your territory, recurring revenue is created through ongoing subscriptions rather than one-off sales.
For individuals with strong commercial skills, business networks and an entrepreneurial mindset, this provides the opportunity to build a recurring income stream that grows over time.
