Job Summary
We are seeking a warm, attentive, and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join the team at Ballathie House Hotel & Estate. Set in the heart of the Perthshire countryside, Ballathie is renowned for its award-winning dining and exceptional guest experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high standards of service across our restaurant, bar, and events, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable visit.

Duties
- Provide attentive and courteous food and beverage service to guests, maintaining the high standards expected at Ballathie
- Take customer orders accurately and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams
- Ensure tables are presented to an exceptional standard, including setting, clearing, and resetting
- Assist with the preparation and setup of dining areas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards across all service areas
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, enhancing their overall experience
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service, particularly during busy periods
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of guests and team members
Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable manner
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, high-quality service environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to learn about fine food, drink, and service standards
