We are seeking a skilled Indian and Indo-Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including ingredient preparation, cooking, and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for ingredients and supplies
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, ensuring high-quality presentation
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines during all kitchen activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service environment is preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen interest in flavour development and presentation skills
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary
