Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will assist dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling efficiently
- Support patients with their queries, offering reassurance and clear communication throughout their visit
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols
- Manage administrative tasks such as updating patient files and handling correspondence
- Support the dental team in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly within dental or nursing environments, is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and administrative tasks
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Effective communication skills to reassure and inform patients clearly and professionally
