In-Store Sales Assistant
(Fundraising Events & Campaigns)
Location: Swindon | Full-Time | In-Person
Looking for a role where you can build confidence, and be part of something meaningful?
A growing promotions team in Swindon is looking for an In-Store Sales Assistant to support live fundraising campaigns for a nationally recognised children’s hospital. These campaigns help fund specialist treatment, life-saving research, and vital support services for families across the UK.
This is a face-to-face, people-focused role based in busy retail environments — perfect for someone who enjoys speaking with others and wants to develop real, transferable skills.
What the Role Involves
As an In-Store Sales Assistant, you’ll be based at branded retail stands and promotional spaces inside high-footfall stores. Your role is to engage shoppers, raise awareness of the campaign, and guide interested individuals through a simple and compliant sign-up process.
You’ll learn how to confidently:
- Approach and engage customers in a natural, friendly way
- Share impactful information about how fundraising supports children and families
- Deliver clear and engaging campaign presentations
- Handle questions and build trust with potential supporters
- Work towards individual and team-based targets
This is an active role where you’ll be on your feet, interacting with people throughout the day — not behind a counter.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Setting up and maintaining a professional, welcoming in-store presence
- Engaging with members of the public and starting conversations
- Explaining campaign details in a clear and relatable way
- Supporting customers through the sign-up process
- Tracking your performance and working towards daily goals
- Collaborating with your team to maximise overall results
Who This Role Suits
- Someone who enjoys face-to-face interaction
- Confident or willing to build confidence speaking to new people
- Positive, proactive, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
- Interested in developing sales and communication skills
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales can be helpful — but full training is provided.
What You’ll Receive
- Weekly pay structure with uncapped commission (OTE £26K+ per year)
- Performance-based bonuses and incentives
- Ongoing training and support from experienced mentors
- Clear progression opportunities into leadership roles
- A supportive team environment with a strong focus on development
If you’re ready to step into a fast-paced, in-person role where you can build skills, earn based on your effort, and contribute to a meaningful cause, we’d love to hear from you.
