The Role: Complex Care Support Worker
Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour, increasing to £15.50 per hour once competent.
Location: Wetherby, LS23
We provide 24-hour, around-the-clock care. Shifts will include a mix of days, waking nights, and alternate weekends, depending on the package.
Contract Type: Permanent, with immediate start available.
We offer the below contract options:
· Full time – 36 hours
· Part Time – 24 hours
· Bank Contract Available
Shift Pattern –
Days: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM and 9:00AM – 9:00PM
Nights: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
DBS: Preferred / update service desirable
Driver with access to a vehicle: Preferred

- We recruit with a person-centred approach, meaning successful candidates will primarily work on one dedicated care package based in a single location. There may also be opportunities to support other packages within the local area when required.
The Person You Will Support
Are you ready to make a genuine difference in a young person’s life?
- You will support a young adult with severe complex medical needs and learning disabilities - Experience in this is required.
- Care tasks will include Personal Care, Communication, Moving & Handling and an overall understanding of the persons care.
- Having Knowledge of Makaton is Desirable.
- She loves music, playing games on her computer, swimming and animals.
- Gentle encouragement, patience, and positive engagement are key to helping them feel safe, understood, and supported.
- A good understanding of Learning Disabilities and person-centred care will help them thrive without becoming overwhelmed.

Training
- At Josh's Care Company, we are dedicated to equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary to become compliant in all areas of specialised care, from tracheostomy and ventilator management to postural and respiratory care, as well as PEG feeding.

- Our nurses have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of nursing and care which will ensure that you receive the highest standard of training and support possible.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking highly motivated professionals with a caring demeanour, excellent communication skills, and previous care experience. Complex Care experience is essential, and experience with autism is highly desirable.
A positive attitude, calm approach, and friendly nature are key, as you will be providing meaningful support that enhances our people’s quality of life.
To Be Considered for This Position, You Will Need:
- Experience working with Complex Care
- An understanding of Makaton is preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or knowledge on autism is also desirable.
- An understanding of person-centred care
- A calm and reassuring nature
- Drivers Licence is preferred
- A genuine passion for care
- A friendly and positive approach
- Flexible availability
- A current DBS preferred (paper or update service)
