Job Overview
We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Customer Services Advisor to join our transport and logistics team. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for customers using pallet and parcel distribution services, ensuring all enquiries, bookings, delivery issues, and tracking requests are handled efficiently and professionally.
You will work closely with drivers, warehouse teams, pallet and parcel network partners, and internal operations staff to ensure excellent service levels and timely communication throughout the delivery process.
Duties
- Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online systems in a professional and timely manner.
- Track pallet and parcel consignments using network portals and internal transport management systems.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues including delays, damages, shortages, misroutes, and POD (Proof of Delivery) requests.
- Liaise with pallet and parcel network hubs, depots, drivers, and subcontractors regarding delivery statuses and service updates.
- Process customer bookings, collections, and delivery requests accurately.
- Update customers proactively regarding delays, failed deliveries, or operational issues.
- Raise and manage claims or service queries in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate customer records and communication logs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and network partners.
- Handle complaints professionally and escalate issues where necessary.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm
Pay: £29,741.40 per year
