Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to deliver exceptional care within our home and support the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
This is a full-time, permanent role requiring flexibility, including weekend work on a rota basis and overnight on-call duties. You will play a key leadership role, providing cover for management when required, supporting and supervising new staff, and ensuring all team members meet required standards of competence. You will also work closely with healthcare professionals and residents’ families to maintain high standards of care.
We are looking for an organised and confident individual with proven experience in medication management, care planning, and resident reviews. Strong IT skills are essential, including the use of electronic care systems, emails, and spreadsheets. A sound understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and DOLS is required.Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, safeguarding procedures, and legal requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care roles within a care home setting, with supervising or leadership experience essential.
- Strong understanding of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory standards in adult social care.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to care management and documentation
- Knowledge of senior care practices with a compassionate approach towards residents’ wellbeing.
- Organised with the ability to supervise staff efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
