Senior Customer Service Executive
Location: York Centre
Salary: Up to £30,000 + £1,000 bonus
Job Type: Full-time
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis between 8:00am–6:00pm:
- 8:00am–4:30pm
- 9:00am–5:30pm
- 9:30am–6:00pm
Some weekend cover may be required (9:00am–5:00pm), with time back in lieu provided during the week.
Are you an experienced customer service professional with a background in high-volume call handling or contact centre environments? Do you enjoy delivering exceptional service and taking ownership of customer interactions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading organisation in York.
We are looking to recruit three Senior Customer Service Executives to join a busy and supportive team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a positive customer journey from start to finish, helping to build long-term relationships and ensuring customers receive an outstanding experience at every stage.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing customer enquiries and acting as a key point of contact throughout the customer journey
- Handling incoming and outgoing communication via telephone, email and online channels
- Producing professional, accurate and engaging written responses
- Processing customer requests and issuing confirmations accurately and efficiently
- Taking ownership of customer queries and resolving issues through to completion
- Supporting amendments and account updates where required
- Identifying suitable alternatives and solutions to improve customer retention and satisfaction
- Working closely with internal teams to provide a seamless customer experience
- Supporting team improvements by suggesting ideas to enhance processes and service delivery
What we're looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a fast-paced customer service or call centre environment
- A customer-focused approach with a genuine passion for delivering excellent service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and confident manner
- GCSE English (Grade B or equivalent) preferred
- Ability to take ownership and accountability for workload and outcomes
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Someone who enjoys sharing ideas and working collaboratively as part of a team
