Commercial Coordinator - Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance)
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid working available)
Balfour Beatty play a key role as part of the {(6) Anglian Water's @one Alliance: Overview | LinkedIn} @Anglian Water’s one Alliance. The Alliance is a ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and eight industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. And together, we deliver around 40% of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
As we progress through AMP8 – our most ambitious asset management period to date – we’re delivering nature-based and sustainable infrastructure, from wetlands to urban drainage schemes, setting new benchmarks for environmental performance.
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Commercial Co-ordinator to join Balfour Beatty on the @one Alliance and support the Central Commercial Team.
This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll play a key part in keeping commercial operations running smoothly supporting people, systems, and processes across the function.
What you'll be doing
What you’ll be doing:
Delivery & Coordination
- Support onboarding of new starters including system access, welcome packs, and feedback
- Coordinate implementation of new processes and ensure training support is in place
- Organise commercial/team events and activities
- Administer systems such as FastDraft, DocuSign, and Payment App
Commercial Support
- Maintain and update commercial templates, reporting, and documentation
- Track and communicate key updates across the commercial function
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Manage shared inboxes, distribution lists, and key communications
- Communicate effectively at all levels
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and support process and system improvements
- Challenge existing practices and support innovative ways of working
People Development
- Support apprentices and graduates through onboarding and development
- Coordinate training for systems and processes
- Maintain SharePoint, directories, and team information
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Promote a strong “Safer Every Day” culture
- Ensure compliance with H&S policies and contribute to a zero-incident environment
Who we're looking for
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in an administration or coordinator
- Experience within a commercial or project environment would be advantageous
- Strong IT skills (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation ability
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing demands
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
- Positive, resilient, and team-focused
