As a Therapeutic Lead, you will be in a position that requires you to:
You will deliver effective and responsive psychologically and psychotherapeutically informed support services across our Children’s and Family Assessment Homes for which you are responsible. This includes embracing and implementing our models of care and therapeutic informed practice to monitor, plan and overcome any barriers to progress and embedding consistent training and structures.
You will work within a systemic framework across a range of homes to manage risk, improve outcomes for children and young people, and ensure excellent support to the teams.
You will lead the delivery of a therapeutic service within our residential homes, providing assessment, interventions, consultancy, and training, and harness your clinical expertise to secure the best outcomes when working with professionals both within and outside of Inspirations.
To achieve this, you will deliver:
● Clinical assessment and formulation meetings for young people looked after within the homes to provide a thorough understanding of the child’s needs and therapeutic care planning to the network around the young person
● Written assessment reports and integrative therapeutic support plans for each young person
● Weekly therapy sessions for the young people, following models of treatment for complex and developmental trauma
● Consultancy and specialist training in developmental trauma, attachment, and therapeutic parenting approaches for staff teams
● Clinical supervision and support to the Assistant Psychologists in completing their roles
Essential Requirements:
● Psychotherapist must be UKCP/BACP registered and accredited.
● You must have experience relating to working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and maltreatment.
● Essential: must have experience working with families and professional statutory systems around looked-after children (eg local authorities, CAMHS)
- Ability to travel across homes in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire (UK Driving Licence).
Desirable Requirements:
● Experience in completing clinical assessments and delivering training programmes.
- Experience in providing clinical supervision or willingness to undergo training to meet the needs of the organisation.
