Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support with medication management and health monitoring as required
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Prepare and serve meals, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with domestic tasks including light cleaning, laundry, and shopping errands
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with the wider care team
- Follow organisational policies regarding confidentiality, safeguarding, and health & safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Good IT skills for documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be willing to undertake Training.
