Hire Shop Assistant
We are looking for a reliable and customer focused Hire Shop Assistant to join our client’s team in Porthcawl. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, keeping things organised and being part of a busy shop environment. Pay is £13.50 per hour, with working hours from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Main Responsibilities
· Serve customers in the shop in a polite and helpful manner
· Assist with hiring out equipment and handling returns
· Raise hire contracts accurately and efficiently
· Carry out pre-hire checks on equipment before it goes out
· Answer questions about products, availability and pricing
· Keep the shop clean, tidy and well organised
· Check equipment in and out accurately
· Support with stock checks and general shop duties
· Follow health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
· Good communication and customer service skills
· A positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Ability to work well as part of a team
· Good timekeeping and a reliable approach to work
· Previous hire shop experience is essential
· Experience of using the Syrinx system is essential
· Driving License is required
