Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced, confident and child‑centred Senior Care Worker to join our team at Blossom Fields Residential Care. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about trauma‑informed practice, building positive relationships, and providing consistent, nurturing care for children with complex needs.
As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a key part in leading shifts, supporting the team, and ensuring the home provides a safe, stable and emotionally warm environment for our young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff during shifts, ensuring high‑quality care at all times
- Build trusting, therapeutic relationships with children
- Support children with daily routines, independence skills and emotional regulation
- Complete meaningful conversations, keywork sessions and care planning tasks
- Ensure safeguarding practice is consistently followed
- Record incidents, daily logs and reports to a high standard
- Model trauma‑informed, relational practice for the team
- Support new staff and contribute to a positive team culture
- Work closely with the Registered Manager and Assistant Manager
- Promote education, health, wellbeing and positive behaviour
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in residential childcare
- Strong understanding of trauma‑informed practice
- Ability to lead shifts confidently and calmly
- Excellent communication and recording skills
- A nurturing, patient and resilient approach
- Level 3 Residential Childcare
- Ability to work full‑time on‑site, including evenings and weekends

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
