We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team at The Lazy Fox, Crowborough. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of hygiene.
This is a full time position (45 hours per week) includes evenings/weekends. Shift patterns may range between 11am and 11pm depending upon the needs of the business.
Annual salary up to £29,741.00 pa + tronc (estimated earnings up to £35,700 pa with tronc) - 45 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures.
- Keep storage areas tidy and organized.
- Help with inventory management when required.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to hygiene and safety standards.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations is advantageous.
