We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 tonne delivery driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety regulations. .
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed lorry for the transportation of goods to designated destinations
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and timeliness
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes
- Adhere strictly to road safety laws, driving regulations, and company policies at all times
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles (category C1)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally with knowledge of commercial driving practice
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading cargo safely
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs
