Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and have an understanding of restaurant operations. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Will be supported by your runner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any concerns promptly
- Handle payments accurately and process transactions using the POS system
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed, adhering to food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is vital
- Knowledge of food safety regulations preferred but training will be provided
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, especially for roles involving food preparation or assisting in the kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential
