Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Venue Cook & Housekeeping Assistant to join our small family business. This dual role involves preparing and cooking meals, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and assisting with general housekeeping duties within our venue. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, experience in food preparation, and a keen eye for cleanliness and organisation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with menu specifications and health & safety standards
- Assist with meal planning, portioning, and presentation to ensure high-quality service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and storing ingredients appropriately
- Support general housekeeping duties around the venue, including cleaning communal areas and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Ensure food safety regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and organising supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in meal preparation and culinary techniques preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving guests
- Previous experience in hospitality or venue settings is advantageous
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts as required, including weekends if necessary

Pay: £24,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
