Job Overview
We are seeking 2 reliable and diligent Part Time School Cleaners to join our team. There are 2 positions available, both 10 hours per week Mon-Fri 15:30-17:30, 40 weeks per year pro rata. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors. Suitable for those seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on attention to detail and professionalism. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, hallways, toilets, and common areas to uphold high standards of hygiene
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces regularly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel promptly
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good organisational skills to manage daily cleaning tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude and excellent time management skills
