This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join an esteemed countryside hotel near Carlisle, overseeing the day to day food and beverage operation across a fine dining restaurant, charming bistro and a range of bespoke events.
This role has a strong operational focus, making it ideal for someone who enjoys structure, service standards, team leadership and the smooth running of multiple areas. The service style is unique, with events that can vary from one occasion to the next, so the successful candidate will need to be adaptable, organised and confident delivering high standards across both everyday service and tailored guest experiences.
The business is looking for someone who is genuinely team focused, with the leadership energy to support, guide and develop a small team. This is not a role for someone who only wants to manage from a distance. You will need to be hands on when required, present during service and able to lead by example across restaurant, bistro and event operations.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a high quality hospitality setting
- Strong operational background across food and beverage departments
- Experience within fine dining, bistro service, events and wine service

- Team focused leader who can support, motivate and develop a small team
- Hands on approach with the ability to lead from the floor when needed
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests, staff and suppliers
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, stock, forecasting and cost control
- Organised, professional and calm under pressure
- Passionate about hospitality, service standards and memorable guest experiences
- Able to support future development, progression and wider business plans

- Support the operation of the Michelin star restaurant, bistro and bespoke events
- Manage, train and develop the food and beverage team
- Create a culture of professionalism, teamwork and respect
- Lead from the floor during key services and support the team when needed
- Work closely with the culinary team on menus, beverage lists and service delivery
- Support the planning and delivery of weddings, private dining, conferences and events
