Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Tramper Tipper Driver to join our team. The work is recycling waste going to the same few sites Monday - Friday.
Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 lorries, including tipper and flatbed vehicles, in compliance with legal and company standards
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on vehicles and equipment
- Deliver goods to specified locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs
- Manage loading and unloading procedures, including operating tipping mechanisms where applicable
- Maintain accurate documentation of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle inspections
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to the relevant department
- Assist with securing loads using appropriate straps or barriers to ensure safety during transit
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or tipper vehicles
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Ability to operate tipping mechanisms safely and efficiently
