About Our Client
We have a client based in London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham who is looking for a Personal Assistant.
He is an 18 year old living with communication needs and anxiety. He requires 2-3 personal assistants who have SEN, occupational therapy, or junior teaching knowledge/experience, is active and bubbly to support him.
Our Client is a responsible employer and hopes to find long term PA(s) supporting his needs during term time and holiday period. He will be supported by his mum to manage the employment relationship. He is interested in sports and likes drawing.
About You
- Patient

- Energetic and Enthusiastic
- Prior Occupational Therapy/ Communication assistance or speech and language therapy experience/ Junior Teaching/Coaching experience or qualification would be an advantage.
- Specific interest in supporting anxiety and regulation skills would be an advantage.
Duties will involve:
- Travel support, helping client to access the community
- Help to support anxiety and regulation skills
- Build on existing Occupational therapy/junior teaching knowledge or experience to support client
- Support to build independent living skills: Pack lunch, food shopping, cooking, laundry
- Support and prompting to be ready for college
- Supporting the development of functional language skills
- Coaching, prompting, and care skills
Schedule:
Please note that below schedule is provisional and we are providing a range of times that the (PA’s) needs to be available.
College Term Period
Tuesday – Friday
Morning shift: 8:00 – 11:00 AM (3 hours)
Afternoon shift: 2:00 – 4:00 AM (2 hours)
Total weekly hours for school period: 20 hours
Holiday/Out of College Period
Monday – Friday
Morning shift: 8:00 – 11:00 AM (3 hours)
Afternoon shift (between) : 3:00 AM – 7: 00 PM (2- 3 hours)
Total weekly hours for Holiday Period: 23 hours weekly
Pay: £15.00 per hour
