Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Ensuring the treatment room is clean, organised, and sterilised according to health and safety regulations
- Providing excellent patient care by offering reassurance and explaining procedures when appropriate
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatments to ensure their comfort and understanding
- Managing appointment schedules and maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
- Adhering to infection control protocols and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, updating patient information, and handling correspondence
- Developing knowledge of dental procedures, equipment, and infection control standards through on-the-job training
Qualifications
- Basic proficiency in English with strong communication skills
- Genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
- Organised with good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent IT skills for record keeping and appointment management
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Previous experience in nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake further training as part of professional development
