We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Facilities Operative Apprentice. This is a great opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification in a supportive working environment.
Responsibilities
You will work alongside our Premises & Facilities Team Leader and wider team, where you will support
- the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and smooth operation of our buildings and sites,
- ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and service users across our corporate buildings.
- Supporting scheduled fire alarm and water management testing
Duties include general building maintenance tasks, basic repairs and upkeep of facilities, assisting with cleaning and ensuring buildings are safe and presentable.
Uniform and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided.
As part of the role, you will be supported to complete a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship at Exeter college.
Experience
Grades 3 or equivalent in Maths and English
Basic IT & reporting skills
Willingness to work towards and achieve a Level 2 qualification in Property Maintenance
Pay: £17,002.00 per year
