About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our team. The role includes:
Deliveries across the UK (including Scotland and Wales)
Collections and deliveries
Occasional handball when required
Curtain-side (tautliner) experience is an advantage
Requirements
Applicants must have:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Class 1 driver
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Tachograph (Tacho) Card
Full Category C+E licence
Experience with curtain-side trailers preferred
Basic English is preferential but not mandatory
Basic understanding of the job and loading procedures
Ability to secure loads using straps and ensure safe transportation
Responsibilities & Communication
Drivers are expected to:
Provide ETA updates to the company when requested
Inform the company of departure times and any delays
Complete a proper vehicle checklist before starting the shift
Ensure the load is correctly strapped and secured at all times
