Make a Real Difference
Are you ready to make a real impact? At Innovate Care Group, we support adults and children with complex health needs to live rich, fulfilling lives – and we’re looking for compassionate individuals to join us. Help us deliver life-changing care that truly makes a difference.
About Us
We are setting a new standard in complex care by combining expert clinical services with compassionate, person-centred support. “Together Towards Tomorrow” is more than our motto, it’s how we empower our clients and our staff to grow, achieve, and thrive.
We make a positive impact on entire families, nurturing their growth and working towards new achievements, always mindful of unique conditions and abilities. Our dedicated team continuously seeks new ways to improve and adapt our services, making a meaningful difference in the lives we touch.
Your Role
We are seeking a skilled Complex Care Healthcare Assistant to support an adult client with multiple, complex cognitive and physical medical needs. Competency in complex neurological care is essential, along with previous experience supporting clients with traumatic brain injury and epilepsy. You should have demonstrable knowledge of traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation, including the ability to support speech and language, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. Experience in caring for clients with dysphagia is also advantageous.
Our client has a wide range of interests and particularly enjoys music, the arts, humanities, comedy, gardening, cooking, word games, puzzles, and sudoku. The ideal candidate will be reliable, compassionate and have a great sense of humour, with the confidence to engage in conversations around these topics and support meaningful interaction.
Alongside a strong understanding of our client’s personal preferences, clinical needs, and care plan, you must be able to remain calm and patient under pressure, with the ability to respond quickly, effectively managing emergency situations.
This role involves providing consistent 24/7 care within a home setting, including close monitoring, personal care, assistance with eating and drinking, and emotional support. Our client is non-verbal, has delayed processing and is at high risk of seizures. Strict adherence to care protocols, including reverse infection control is essential.
Clinical skills required include:
- Complex seizure management
- Medication administration
- Oxygen therapy
- Oral suctioning
- Bowel and bladder management
Communication and sensory needs:
- Support is needed for delayed processing and memory retrieval
- Extra time is essential for verbal responses – no rushing
- Communication must be inclusive and supported with gentle cues
- Avoid overstimulating environments – low noise and calm spaces are preferred
- You will possess the ability to adjust your communication style and correctly interpret non-verbal responses
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining routine, preventing medical emergencies and creating a calm, supportive environment that promotes safety, dignity, and well-being.

Unlike agency or domiciliary care roles, we offer:
- No unpaid travel time – you’re paid for the work you do.
- Consistent shifts with one client – predictable income and routine.
- Reliable long-term work – not last-minute shift offers.
- Strong team environment – backed by qualified clinical leads and support staff.
