Role Summary
The Event Sales Executive is responsible for managing enquiries and confirmed bookings, supporting the Sales Team in maximising revenue across meetings, residential conferences and Ashorne Hill's growing diversification portfolio.
Working 5 days over 7, the role provides greater flexibility to support both weekday and weekend business, ensuring excellent customer service from enquiry through to event delivery.
The role acts as the key link between Sales and Operations, ensuring all event information is communicated accurately, handovers are seamless and departments are fully prepared to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
A key element of the role is providing on-the-day event coordination for key events, acting as the Sales representative to support Operations, ensuring events run smoothly, resolving issues promptly and helping to deliver the high standards expected by our clients.
The role will play an important part in supporting Ashorne Hill's diversification strategy, including weddings, special events, exclusive use, film production and new commercial opportunities, helping ensure these events are successfully planned, coordinated and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
· Manage enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmation.
· Prepare proposals and quotations.
· Conduct venue show rounds.
· Maximise enquiry conversion and achieve individual sales targets.
· Upsell accommodation, food & beverage and additional services.
· Identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
· Support revenue growth across meetings, residential business and diversification opportunities.
Event Planning & Coordination
· Manage confirmed bookings through to event delivery.
· Liaise with clients to finalise event details.
· Produce accurate function sheets and event documentation.
· Ensure all client requirements are captured accurately.
· Support the Sales Team with event planning activities.
Sales & Operations
· Act as the link between Sales and Operations throughout the customer journey.
· Ensure seamless handovers between departments.
· Communicate event requirements clearly and accurately.
· Attend weekly function meetings where required.
· Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure events are fully prepared prior to arrival.
On-the-Day Event Coordination
· Act as the Sales representative during key events.
· Support the Operations Team to ensure events are delivered as planned.
· Ensure all agreed client requirements have been fulfilled.
· Respond quickly and professionally to any issues that arise during an event.
· Provide additional support during weekends and key diversification events.
· Capture client feedback and identify opportunities for repeat business.

Knowledge & Experience
· Proven experience in venue, conference, or hospitality sales, ideally within a proactive environment.
· Strong commercial understanding of yield, pricing, and conversion metrics.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in outbound calling and client meetings.
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
· Proficient in CRM and booking systems such as KX, and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
· Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while contributing to team goals.
